米切尔在东部后场的投票中获得1971218张球迷票，排名第二（三球第一），球员票和媒体票均排名第一，最终在东部后场总排名第一。
全明星首发球员由球迷、球员和媒体投票共同决定，分别占比50%、25%、25%；球迷投票有三个阶段，最终票选排名前二的后场球员和排名前三的前场球员成为全明星首发球员，替补球员则由各队主教练选出。
